Performing Arts, Fashion, and Music at Foundation Room

The Foundation Room, an event space located at Foundation Architectural Reclamation in the West Bottoms, was the site of a grand opening party over the weekend. The event included a fashion show, aerial fabric performers, live music from Monta At Odds, and the Urban Bazaar shopping extravaganza. Also, lillibelle sponsored a "My Dad Rocks" live music stage with local bands The Life & Times, namelessnumberheadman and The Sexy Accident. A live mannequin fashion exhibit featured Kansas City designers christianMICHAEL and Cali Roberta.
Foundation Architectural Reclamation, owned and operated by Patrick Ottesen, is a showroom with 15,000 square feet of space housing architectural artifacts for commercial and residential projects. Need a Town Topic sign, antique furniture, decorative furnishings, lighting, hall mirrors, windows, doors, or sculpture with a story behind its history? Foundation is a fascinating place to browse and shop.

Ottesen hosts cutting edge events and exhibits such as the ongoing West Bottoms Urban Bazaar and one-time spectacles such as Night World, Le Voler aerial fabric acrobatics, Kansas City Fashion Week, Second Fridays Art, and other cultural productions.
