Video: David Seume - Will Ya Be My Friend?
Worth the Wait
Utterly charming, visually whimsical and breathtaking, the video for “Will Ya Be My Friend?” is a colorful stop-motion animation of imagery that illustrates the simple premise of the song without distracting from its message. Singer David Seume's voice goes from sweet falsetto to let's-be-real raspy. What a treat for the eyes and ears.
The video was produced over 14 months with credit going to Mur Mur Man Productions. The team behind the production was New York-based designer/illustrator Philip J. Cheaney (PJC), who also created a stop-animation video for “A Ghost Beneath the Tower” by the Winston Jazz Routine, and Kansas City designer Danny Gibson (DJG), who creaed the artwork featured in the video. Gibson is known locally for his innovative music poster design and illustration.
The debut single "Will Ya Be My Friend" is available at www.davidseume.com.
