"My main body of work is sterling silver and enameled jewelry.  I make earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings.  I also like to incorporate and recycle old vintage jewelry in my designs.  Recently I have made a foray into the world of hair accessories and offer a wide range of designs at various price points.  When I create my jewelry designs I use various processes such as soldering, hammering, sawing, etc.  I start with materials like sheets of silver or copper and wire.  If I'm using enamel I fire my designs in a kiln. Then, it's time to put all the elements together by adding chains, earring posts and wires, or beads.  I've created pieces of jewelry ranging in cost from $10-400.  I try to keep my price point reasonable so that everyone can enjoy my designs.

"I try to cater to women of all ages.  A person that would enjoy my designs loves fashion, classic vintage pieces, and bright colors. They are probably a woman or girl that likes to be feminine, but with a little edge and quirkiness thrown into the mix.

"When you choose a gift for someone you have to really think about what they like and their sense of style.  I like the idea of buying someonea gift just because it reminded you of them.

"One of my friends bought me a Swiss Army Knife.  It doesn't seem like a big deal, but I had been talking about how much I wanted one months before and he remembered.  It was cool because it was really thoughtful and showed me that he was really listening to me.

"I have to say that my greatest gift or talent is probably my overall sense of creativity.  I owe that a lot to my parents who always encouraged me to develop and pursue my art work.  I'm glad that I can make things that make other people feel happy and beautiful." —Emily Jungden-Walters

Bio: My name is Emily Jungden-Walters and I am located in Kansas City, Missouri. Born and raised here, I attended Notre Dame de Sion high school and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Missouri State University, Springfield.  I have a dual emphasis in printmaking and metalsmithing, and a minor in art history.  My main area of work at the moment is metalsmithing (jewelry design) and floral design, but I also dabble in interior design, video editing, painting, and event planning as well.  If it calls for a creative mind, then I am usually up for the challenge.
