Biography of Nick and Angela Snyder, creators of Nerdbots
Oddly obsessed with all things robot, we decided on a whim one day to do nothing other than to build one ourselves. After piecing together parts found at our favorite antique and thrift stores, we created our first robot friend. Since that first day, we have added many fabulously geeky robots to our beloved robotic collection.
We now spend our free time trolling stores, looking for the best and most endearing robot parts we can find. We carry armless and legless robot torsos through very public hardware stores, finding equipment that will put the finishing features on our robot creations. We drool over power tools and get abnormally excited when presented with boxes of broken electronics. We do this so that we can share our love of robots with others.

Artists Statement
We walk through life looking at discarded parts and outdated electronics as though they are heads, bodies, legs or arms. We pick through boxes of metal scraps looking for value in something that others see as trash. We assign personality to people’s unwanted junk.
By doing this, we bring life to items previously deemed lifeless, thrown out, unwanted. Individually each part may seem like a piece of junk, but together the parts form robotic creations with their own personas and endearing qualities that make people smile.
