Enough

How long until you know what I am

nothing but the

what is important. It is
never enough, this passion
or that to fill a life of hours
and the days between them
odd and stolen, even from myself
but even that would not be enough
the distance between the vision
and the execution, a life too short
to hold it all, to make
do and learn and this, this

passion

gets in your way; this is not
what you want, what I need
accomplishes nothing
you could measure or scan
or exchange for shelter
but even when you have that
it's never enough, you want

food too

and clothes no woman wore before
and so I pimp for my pen
needs ink too, and I like
to dress well and feel important
but then I steal
those hours from the sleep
I should have dreamed, easy

enough

it will never be.

friend from the past..............................
I stumbled across you by accident and I am glad I did so, I felt chills while I was reading, like, hey, This is how I would like to sound if I were able to write my feelings down. Thanks and post more, Jenn
