4th Annual Crossroads Music Festival

Operated by Spice of Life Productions, the 4th Annual Crossroads Music Fest is an annual celebration of diversity through music and art. This general admission event attracts music fans of all ages to the heart of downtown. This year, the event will take place at six venues on Saturday, September 6, 2008.

A pre-party will be held in conjunction with PresentMagazine.com's 3rd Anniversary Party on Friday, September 5, at Crosstown Station, 1522 McGee, featuring singer/songwriters Barclay Martin, Sara Swenson, Amy Farrand, and Rex Hobart. Later that evening, Be Non, Five Star Crush, and Architects will perform in a rock showcase.

Additional pre-parties will be held at Czar Bar and The Brick with more details to be announced.

The Crossroads Music Festival includes fun for the whole family with an all-ages children's show on Saturday, September 6, from 11 AM-2 PM at Crosstown Station, 1522 McGee. Shane Evans, artist and illustrator for children's books such as Did I Tell You I Love You Today? and Shaq and the Beanstalk, will chat about artwork he created. Funky Mama will perform children's music from her popular CDs and jazz artists and musicians will lead a jazz storytelling session. Come down for an afternoon of entertainment and stay for the kids meal specials. The children's show is sponsored by PresentMagazine.com. Advance tickets ($10) are available beginning August 1, 2008, online and at each venue. Tickets are $15 on day of the show. The children's show is $5 per child or one free child's admission with a paid festival pass.

Bicycle cabs will be in the area to transport festival attendees. All six venues are within two blocks of each other near 16th and McGee. Every venue will have food for sale.
